About
Me
I was born in Miami,
Florida, and I moved to New Jersey when I
was 15 years old. I currently live in New Jersey and I am a graduate
student
at University of Delaware, pursuing a master's degree in mathematics. I
love to teach and I plan on pursuing a PhD in Math Education to make a
significant impact on the way in which we teach and learn math in the
United States. I have been a math tutor since 2008 and I have been
teaching since 2011. One of my greatest passions is helping students
understand math who seem to struggle learning it or students who
believe that they hate math. My favorite subjects in mathematics
include
calculus, differential equations, algebra, geometry, and topology. I
hope to one day be a professor in a university where I may teach some
variety of these math subjects.
I also play beach
volleyball at a pretty intense level. I have been
playing volleyball since I was 9 years old. I currently play GAV tournaments every
weekend
during the summer, and I normally train hard to attempt to qualify for
certain professional beach volleyball tournaments. (I have not yet been
able to qualify for a pro tournament, but it will remain one of my
goals
until I reach it or until I cannot play volleyball anymore...) You can
find my recent volleyball activity and records here.
In addition to playing
volleyball, I also sing and play the keyboards.
I have been singing since I was very young and I have been playing the
keyboards since I was 9 years old. I played in bands all around Florida
since I was 12 years old. I played in a few bands in New Jersey, but
none of which gained state-wide fame. Currently I write my own orginial
music and my father helps me to produce my songs. I have one CD so far,
and I imagine it will be sometime before I produce a second CD since
graduate life and volleyball take up most of my time. Thanks for
visiting my website!
