Mathematical Reviews is in its 70th year. I will start my talk with a
brief historical sketch.
An author publishes a paper/book. A "little bit" after that, a review
of that paper/book appears on MathSciNet. Between these two moments,
this paper/book goes through a 16-step procedure at MR. Several of
those 16 steps involve MR editors. I will talk in more detail about
the editorial work and use some examples from my dealing with papers,
books and reviews in probability and statistics.
