AAPIC is under the auspice of the President's Commission To Promote Racial and Cultural Diversity.

Mission:

To contribute toward a campus climate that promotes cultural diversity among the student body, faculty, and staff and to help create an environment for its members to reach their fullest potential.

Membership:

Founding members are Asian American and Pacific Islander employees who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States and non-resident aliens who are citizens of countries in the East Asia, Southeast Asia, the Indian Subcontinent and the Pacific Islands. Other employees and students, regardless of ethnic origin are welcome to be members.
