I grew up in Concepcion,
Chile.
In January 2007, I received my degree in
Mathematical Engineering from Universidad de
Concepcion, where I worked on finite element
methods for non-coercive problems with my adviser
Prof. Gabriel Gatica. Then, in August 2007, I moved
to Minneapolis, Minnesota where I worked on
Hybridizable discontinuous Galerkin methods in
general domains with my adviser Prof. Bernardo
Cockburn. I obtained my Ph.D. in Scientific
Computation with a minor in Mathematics from the
University of Minnesota, in December 2011.
I have been in Newark, Delaware since January 2012
and I am currently a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Mathematical Sciences,
University of Delaware, working with Prof. Peter
Monk.
I enjoy doing other things besides math! For
example, I enjoy playing sports,
specially soccer. I also enjoy cooking and
traveling.
