Including Mathematical Symbols in Your Writing 

Including mathematical symbols in your writing is very easy to do in Maple. Look on the left side of the screen. There are menus available with names like 'Greek', 'Arrows', 'Relational', etc. 

These are for use in writing.

By using them it is easy for me to write things like "I like π and pie.". If you ever have need of mathematical writing, this can help you greatly. 

If you go on to do scientific or mathematical writing in your future field you will most likely learn a typesetting language called Tex or LaTex (pronounced Tek or LaTek). This is the language I use to write your exams and homeworks.
