Many complex mechanical systems have arrays of sensors to control
their performance. Examples include automobiles, heating and
ventilation systems, nuclear reactors, and traffic signal lights. The
sensors themselves send currents down wires to a logic circuit that
controls the system. However, the wires, if heated or cooled, can
induce small currents all by themselves, so it is important for a
control system to correctly distinguish signals from induced
currents. In this project, you will model currents induced by wires
undergoing thermal expansion.
