Maple Labs For Math 243

• Basic Maple Commands Tests the students ability to use Maple commands they should have learnt in Math 242 e.g. commands such as solve, allvalues, plot. ( latex version )

 
• Vectors Use Maple vector manipulation commands to compute curvature and the length of a curve. ( latex version )

 
• Parametric Representation Obtain parametric representation of simple surfaces such as cone, ellipsoid, cylinders etc. ( latex version )

 
• 3D Plotting commands Using various 3D plotting commands to plot surfaces (and curves) given in explicit, implicit, or parametric form. ( latex version )

 
• Linear Approximation Reinforces linear approximation of functions of two variables. ( latex version )

 
• Integration and Summation Compute approximate mass of an inhomogeneous rectangular plate and a circular plate by subdividing into smaller pieces. ( latex version )

 
• Procedures, If, Parts of Surfaces To practice the use of Maple procedures and conditional statements. Using such statements to draw solids bounded by several surfaces. ( latex version )
