University
I served as  the secretary of AWM Student Chapter at UD, whose purpose is to educate and provide information about career opportunities in mathematics, to facilitate networking with professional mathematicians and Delaware community itself, and develop leadership skills for female undergraduate and graduate students. My responsibility is to help organize  monthly meetings or activities, etc.
 I  served as the TA Fellow and Conference Sessions Facilitator at 2012 Graduate TA Conference, which consists: a series of events for TAs, practice-based sessions during the fall semester and concludsion with a day-long conference. My main responsibilities are to
(1) help orient the newly appointed TAs to their instructional roles and responsibilities and introduce them effective practices and central aspects of learning and teaching at the conference;
(2) facilitate two sessions: working with the course instructor as part of an instructional team and teaching math sections.
I enjoy teaching and have 3-years TA and 2-semesters instructor experience in math teaching. This conference was a good opportunity for me to pass on my own experiences to new TAs, helped them avoid some critical issues, handle similar problems I had ever had, and built a good relationship with the course instructors and undergrads. In the meanwhile, I also learned teaching skills from other TA fellows, developed interpersonal and communication skills while I co-facilitate with others.
