In the spring 2000, Ellen and I decided to take the family to the Falkland Islands to see my old home. After a brief visit to Southern Chile we arrived in the islands on 23 December 2000 and left again on 6th January. Here is some information about our trip:

- Dec 23rd, 2000: directly after arriving at Mount Pleasant Airport, we flew to Pebble Island where we stayed for Christmas
- Dec 28th, 2000: we flew to Carcass Island, my favorite spot in the entire islands.
- Dec 31st, 2000: we flew Port Stanley, the main town in the islands (Photo Album)
- Darwin/Goose Green
- Pod and Port San Carlos
- Jan 3rd, 2001: we took a guided tour of Cape Dolphin with Patrick Berntsen (Photo album).
- Jan 4th, 2001: we took a guided tour to Volunteer Point and the King Penguins (Photo Album)
- Jan 5th, 2001:
we drove to Swan Inlet and went horse back riding (

- Jan 6th: we left for the
long trip home.
