In Spring 2013, most homework will be submitted online at webassign.net.

Some of the homework will be handed in on paper.

All due dates are below. Each homework will be visible online about one week before it is due.

Homework 8 (online)   Friday April 12th before 11:59 pm

I recommend submitting the online homework well in advance of the deadline.
NOTE: I am unlikely to answer emails about homework after 5:00 pm on Fridays.


Each homework will receive a score between 0 and 4.

If you miss a homework for any reason, you get a 0. This includes illnesses, accidents, emergencies, and computer problems.

Your lowest 3 homework scores are ignored. Only your best 8 count.

*To add yourself to the class list on WebAssign, use the "class key" given in lecture.
*To use WebAssign, you need an access code.
*If you bought the 7th edition of the textbook new, it should have come with an access code.
*There is a "grace period": you can use WebAssign without an access code until [approx 2 wks after first lecture]
*The online homework is slightly randomized: the same question will sometimes have different numbers.
(If you log in once to view or print your homework, then later log in again, some numbers may change.)
*If you get a question wrong, you can submit a new answer, but you can only submit at most 5 times.
