MATH 611 Homework assignments
- Check back here each week for changes!
- Assignments are due at the beginning of class on Friday.
- Your work should include the problems in the same order in which they were assigned.
- All MATLAB work should be turned in using the Publish feature. Details will be given in class.
- Academic integrity: You are expected and encouraged to discuss problems with others. However, the work you turn in must be completely your own.
Sharing or copying of work will result in grade penalties for all involved parties.
If you have never done so, you should carefully read
the official

Remarks |
| Sept. 19 |
1.1, 1.3, 2.4, 2.6, 3.2, 3.3, 4.2, 5.4 |

On 8.2 and 10.2, show your code working on a small random example. Use "type mgs", etc. to include the codes themselves into your published script. On 11.2(a), you have 3 unknowns to determine. In 11.2(b), you can use the given hint to reduce this to two unknowns. |
| Oct. 17 |
12.1, 12.2, 13.2, 15.1(b,c,d,e,f) |
In 13.2, IEEE single precision has 23 mantissa bits, so t=24 in (13.2). |
