Course Description:
Solutions of linear algebraic equations, Gauss elimination, vector spaces,subspaces, linear dependence, linear ordinary differential equations of 2nd order and higher, initial value and boundary value problems, eigenvalues, coupled linear ordinary differential equations, nonlinear differentialequations, with engineering applications.
Text Book:
Advanced Engineering Mathematics, second edition, by Michael D. Greenberg.
Material to be covered: : From Capter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 7-Chapter 11.
Homework: Homework will be assigned and will be collected regularly. Late problem sets will not be accepted unless prior
permission is granted. No homework assignments are accepted after the graded
assignments have been returned.

Exams: There will be two in-class midterm exams (September 30, November 11) and a comprehensive FINAL EXAM (12/16/05, 10:30-12:30PM).
Final Grade: Midterm exams (40%), Final exam (30%), Homework and Quizzes (30%).
A- > 90%, B- >80% , C- >70, D- > 60%, F<60%.
