The Finite Element Circus is a regular conference devoted to the theory and applications of the finite element method, and related areas of numerical analysis and partial differential equations. The main Finite Element Circus web page has information about the history of the conference, as well as details on past Finite Element Circus meetings.

Time and Location

The Spring 2009 Finite Element Circus will be held at the University of Delaware on April 24-25, 2009.

The Friday session will take place from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM, and the Saturday session will start at 9:00 AM. All talks will be held in "Gallery" room in Perkins Student Center. The location is indicated on this Campus Map (see the F4 square).

Directions to Campus

The closest airport is the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). An alternative is the Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI). From PHL or BWI to the UD campus a Delaware Express Shuttle is available.

Parking

There is a parking garage next to Perkins Student Center. Campus Map (see the F4 square). To enter the garage you have to take ticket. Bring the ticket with you for validation!

If you plan on staying at the Courtyard Newark - University of Delaware Hotel located in the North part of the campus, you can park there and walk to the Perkins Student Center.

Dinner

We are planning to have dinner at Saigon (Vietnamese Cuisine) on Friday evening. The cost is $25 per person. There will be several choices for dinner and you can decide on site. Please, plan to pay with cash.

A block of  25  rooms has been reserved at
Courtyard Newark at the University of Delaware
Special Rate: $129/double bed  (must request the MSR block)

Unreserved rooms will be released on Wednesday, April 1, 2009.
