Saving Maple Work For Future Use

When you are ready to save your work bullist if this is a modification of an old file then choose Save from the File menu and your work is saved by overwriting the old file. You may now quit Maple. if this is work started in this session of Maple (and not a modification of an old file) then choose Save As from the File menu. A new box will pop up. In this box, Left click in the smaller box titled Selection - in the blank area on the right. Keep the arrow in this smaller box and you will see a blinking cursor. It may look like

/home/brahms/usrc/38/14456/
Now chose a file name (read Subsection 2.6). In the Selection box append the chosen name e.g. it may look like
/home/brahms/usrc/38/14456/myfile
then Left click Save. Your work has been saved in myfile.ms. You may now quit Maple but remember this file name - write its name in your notes.
