Abstract: The most important goal of mathematics instruction is to develop students’ deep and rich understanding. However, What does it mean to develop students’ deep and rich understanding in Mathematics Classroom? In this seminar, I will start with a mini experiment to discuss this question. Then, I will present three cases to show pedagogical strategies for developing students’ deep and rich understanding in Mathematics Classroom?
