Embeddings of partial linear spaces in finite projective planes
Abstract:
In this talk we will discuss problems and results concerning embeddings of partial linear spaces in finite projective planes. In particular, we will focus on the question of whether all finite partial linear spaces are embedded in finite translation planes, and the complexity of determining whether a given partial linear space is embedded in some classical plane. The latter will be shown to be at least as difficult as integer factorization.
