Scaling up the source terms in modelling of an underground waste disposal

Homogenization and asymptotics are used to derive rigorously a global model, starting from a detailed model with an infinity of small and thin sources terms  lying on a plan. The equations, including diffusion, dispersion and convection are describing transport- migration of nuclides from a nuclear waste disposal; but the method could be used for a general situation.
