Unique continuation for the wave equation

Abstract: Tatarus' result asserts unique continuation of solutions of hyperbolic PDEs (with time independent coefficients) across non-characteristic surfaces. We describe some recent results on unique continuation for hyperbolic PDEs along and across lower dimensional surfaces. These results are useful for studying inverse problems.
