1. The Program

The Departments of Mathematical Sciences and Biological Sciences at the University of Delaware offer a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Biology. This major provides a strong background in mathematics, biology, chemistry and physics appropriate for students who wish to pursue a career or graduate studies in biomedical and life sciences.

2. Advising

Students in this major will have an advisor in each department (Mathematical Sciences and Biological Sciences). The advisors will work together to provide the best guidance to majors in this program.

• All students admitted in  Fall 2010 or later must complete 12 credits that meet the University Breadth Requirements.

• Three credits in an approved course or courses stressing multicultural, ethnic, and/or gender-related content

• Three credits in a second writing course (after completion of 60 credits)

• Six credits in Group A

• Six credits in Group B

• Six credits in Group C

One of the courses in Group A, B or C should be in the area of Bioethics.
