Seminar on Stochastic Processes 2008 to be held at UD

The Seminar on Stochastic Processes conference 2008 will take place April, 3-5, 2008 at the University of Delaware.  These seminars have been held annually since 1981 and  have become one of the most important regular conference series for probabilists in North America. The conference typically attracts up to a hundred participants bringing together a diverse group of accomplished researchers and young investigators in probability and stochastic processes. Apart from informal sessions there will be five invited speakers:

Amarjit Budhiraja, University of North Carolina

Xia Chen, University of Tennessee

Richard Kenyon, Brown University

Anita Winter, University of Erlangen-Nuernberg (Germany)

Marc Yor, Université Paris 6 (France)

In addition, there will be a session commemorating Frank Knight's life and work.

The conference is sponsored by NSF and funding to help graduate students, young researchers, and persons from traditionally underrepresented groups to attend the conference is available.
