The scientific research society, Sigma Xi, has an active chapter at the University of Delaware thanks to the efforts of faculty like Professor Lou Rossi of the Department of Mathematical Sciences. Professor Rossi is currently serving as the Secretary-Treasurer of the local Sigma Xi chapter. He has been active with the society for many years and has helped to promote its speaker series and its research award program.
