Maki and Driscoll take top honors at Computational Science poster contest
|
Congratulations to graduate studentKara Maki and Prof. Tobin Driscoll whose poster entitled "Why it is safe to Use Gaussian Elimination with Partial Pivoting" won First Prize this afternoon at Computational Science Day 2006! In addition to the honor of being the best in a field of 14 posters, the prize includes a $50 Barnes and Noble gift certificate. Profs. Rossi and Braun from the Department of Mathematical Sciences also participated in the meeting.
