Congratulations to mathematics major Spencer Tofts who has won a prestigious Goldwater Scholarship. The scholarship program, honoring the late U.S. Sen. Barry M. Goldwater of Arizona, is designed to encourage outstanding students to pursue careers in the fields of mathematics, the natural sciences and engineering. The Goldwater Scholarship is the premier undergraduate award of its type in these fields and students compete nationally for the award.
