Prof. Michelle Cirillo received the inaugural Linking Research and Practice Outstanding Publication Award for the journal Mathematics Teacher, published by NCTM, the most important professional organization in the field of mathematics education. Michelle’ article “Curriculum vision and coherence: Adapting curriculum to focus on authentic mathematics” published in August 2009 was selected by NCTM’s Research Committee.
