Professor Richard Braun has been named to the founding editorial board of the "Math-in-Industry Case Studies"(MICS) for a three year period beginning July 1, 2007. MICS is an Electronic Research Journal published by the Fields Institute; its peer-reviewed articles will only appear electronically. MICS aims to meet the publication needs of the burgeoning community of mathematicians who work on problems that are important to industry. Its central theme is the stimulation of innovative mathematics by the modeling and analysis of such problems across the physical, biological and social sciences. The first issue is expected to appear in the third or fourth quarter of 2007.
