Prof Richard Braun has been awarded about $100,000 from the NIH's National Eye Institute. The grant is a subaward that is part of a five year, roughly $1.15 million grant to the Indiana University College of Optometry, entitled "Tear film instability as a unifying mechanism for dry eye symptoms." Prof Braun will collaborate with researchers at Indiana and the University of Waterloo (Canada) to develop mathematical models of the tear film that compare directly with experimental measures of tear film dynamics.
