On April 2 and 3, the University of Delaware hosted the Eastern Section Meeting of the American Mathematical Society featuring 4 invited talks, 14 special sessions and over 230 participating mathematicians. 

To emphasize its commitment to graduate and undergraduate education and the education of young mathematicians, the Department of Mathematical Sciences also hosted a student poster session featuring 16 poster presentations by undergraduate and graduates students from nearby colleges and universities.
