Graduate Student wins SIAM Travel Award
|
Ms. Kara Maki has earned a SIAM Student Travel Award. This distinguished awards includes registration fees at the SIAM annual meeting in Boston this summer and a $500 cash prize. Ms. Maki will be presenting a paper entitled "How Rare Are Large Growth Factors?" which grew (and grew and grew) out of a Math 611 (graduate numerical methods) project supervised by Prof. Driscoll.
