Student Poster Session
The Department of Mathematical Sciences is pleased to host a Student Poster Session at the Eastern Section Meeting of the American Mathematical Society to be held at the University of Delaware on April 2 and 3. There will be two sessions on Saturday afternoon, one for undergraduates and another for graduate students. Participating students will have their registration fees waived, and are free to attend any of the plenary talks, 16 special sessions and the reception. The University of Delaware Department of Mathematical Sciences is sponsoring a $250 prize for the best graduate and undergraduate poster. The poster session will run from 3:00-5:00 on Saturday afternoon in Smith 201 with judging taking place between 3:30-4:30. Abstracts containing the author, title and institution and name of the faculty advisor should be submitted directly to Wenbo Li (email address: wli@math.udel.edu) by March 21.
-
Posters should be mounted on 4'X3' corrugated poster boards (such as this).
-
The trifold posters will be arranged on long tables in and immediately outside of Smith 201. A program will be available at the meeting which will assign a number to every poster. Each poster should be placed on a table near its number. Posters can be set up any time Saturday morning or early afternoon.
-
Profs. Rossi ( rossi@math.udel.edu) and Li ( wli@math.udel.edu) will be available to answer any questions during the meeting.
-
The poster session will run from 3:00 until 5:00, so students should stand with their posters at that time. The contest judges will visit each poster between 3:30 and 4:30.
