Dear Fellow Mathematicians,

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Delaware is pleased to host the 2005 Eastern Section Meeting of the American Mathematical Society where we hope to bring together the best in pure and applied mathematics in the eastern United States.  In addition to having excellent invited talks, we encourage local experts and leaders to organize special sessions on areas of mathematics that have seen significant activity in recent years.  As a Department which features both strong graduate and undergraduate programs, we will be hosting a student poster session on Saturday.
