Assistant or Associate Professor in Probability/Stochastic Analysis

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Delaware is soliciting applications for a tenure/tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank in Probability/Stochastic Analysis. The appointment will be made at a level commensurate with the candidate's experience and the appointment is expected to start in the Fall 2012. The successful candidate will conduct advanced research in Probability and Stochastic Analysis, teach undergraduate and graduate level courses, actively contribute to the growth of the graduate program in mathematics, and seek external funding. Involvement in interdisciplinary research with scientists or engineers (e.g., in biology, biophysics, bioinformatics, chemical engineering, environmental sciences, machine learning, data analysis) is expected and will be highly encouraged.

Required qualifications for the position include a Ph.D., evidence of significant scientific productivity, and a commitment to an integrated program of teaching and research. A track record of interdisciplinary research including applications of probability and stochastic analysis in the sciences or engineering is desirable.
