Mentoring Program
If I have seen farther than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants.

One of the main initiatives of the AWM Student Chapter at UD is to start a mentoring program involving the students and faculty in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. Mentors and mentees are paired up based on their needs, backgrounds, and preferences. Once the mentor/mentee pairs have been made, the AWM student chapter recommends and helps guide a first discussion on the expectations of mentor/mentee group and how to best reach them. Mentoring can take place over email, coffee, or lunch. Furthermore, mentors can help mentees by assisting them with networking, advising them on a career path, or just being there to listen. This mentoring program is open to everyone in the Department of Mathematical Sciences including students and faculty, both male and female. If you are interested in joining our mentoring program as either a mentor, mentee or both, please click on "contact us" in the navigation bar and end us an email!
