What is in a name?

BlobFlow$^{\rm TM}$ is a computer algorithm known as an elliptical corrected core spreading vortex method (ECCSVM). The name ``BlobFlow'' is trademarked to represent the particular distribution maintained by Louis F. Rossi. The reason for the trademark is to protect the algorithm from misrepresentation. However, the code distributed under the name BlobFlow$^{\rm TM}$ is open source. Anyone is free to copy, modify and use it, as long as they abide by the terms of the attached copyright. In doing so, the user is creating a new form of ECCSVM which is not the BlobFlow$^{\rm TM}$ distribution, and so one should not attach the BlobFlow$^{\rm TM}$ name to it. Rather, one should simply refer to it as ECCSVM or some other descriptive name.

In short, feel free to use the code but do not use the BlobFlow$^{\rm TM}$ for modified versions without my permission.
